This is so freaking sad. Mickey Rourke's beloved Chihuahua, Loki, has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge before getting to see her best friend win an Oscar.

Loki was 18 years old and died yesterday morning.

Mickey flew Loki to Italy for the screening of The Wrestler at the Venice Film Festival last year. He explained, "Loki is the love of my life. My dog is very old and she is not going to be around for long so I want to spend every moment with her."

Paula Abdul Stalker found dead

A former American Idol contestant that was obsessed with Paula Abdul was found dead last night in a car parked near Paula's house. Police say Paula Goodspeed, 30, died of a drug overdose and have ruled the death a suicide. The car's license plate read "ABL LV."

LA police Captain James Miller said "Ms. Goodspeed's mother had gone to [the sheriff's department] to report her daughter missing, and advised them that she might be suicidal. The sheriffs determined that Ms. Goodspeed may be up in the vicinity by Paula Abdul's house. Our officers discovered her vehicle parked on the street, and found her inside. She was unresponsive to officers."

Paula Abdul was not at home when Paula was found. She released the following statement: "I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family."

RIP Micheal Crichton

Sad news. Best-selling author and filmmaker Michael Crichton died today at the age of 66 after a private battle against cancer.

His family released the following statement:

"While the world knew him as a great story teller that challenged our preconceived notions about the world around us -- and entertained us all while doing so -- his wife Sherri, daughter Taylor, family and friends knew Michael Crichton as a devoted husband, loving father and generous friend who inspired each of us to strive to see the wonders of our world through new eyes. He did this with a wry sense of humor that those who were privileged to know him personally will never forget. He will be profoundly missed by those whose lives he touched, but he leaves behind the greatest gifts of a thirst for knowledge, the desire to understand, and the wisdom to use our minds to better our world."

Ok, what the hell is going on? All the news lately has been so depressing these past few days. We lost some legends: Yves Saint-Laurent, Bo Diddley, Harvey Korman. Then yesterday Tatum O'Neal was arrested for buying crack and Kelsey Grammar had a heart attack. I won't even bring up Clay Aiken procreating again!

Geez, what else?

And you can't even escape for a couple hours by watching tv because the only shows on are Living off Lindsay Lohan and a shit-eating pig on Denise Richards: It's not really that Complicated , I'm just a has-been slut (and I'm not talking about her pets.)

I need to laugh? Can anybody please make me laugh?

RIP Heath

The NYC medical examiner has ruled that Heath Ledger's death was caused by "acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone (painkiller), hydrocodone (painkiller), diazepam (anti-anxiety-sold under the name Valium), temazepam (sleep aid) , alprazolam Zanax) , and doxylamine (another sleep aid) ."

The findings concluded that the cause of death was an accidental overdose.

If it isn't bad enough that the paps aren't going to leave Heath Ledger's family and friends alone and let them grieve without shoving a camera in their face, and sick fucks like Fred Phelps and his church of hate planning to pickett Heath's funeral, now we have everyone coming out of the woodwork to make a quick buck off the tragedy with dirt-filled stories.

Enter a women named Rebecca White. Rebecca was Naomi Campbell's former assistant from 2001-2003. She ran straight to the Sun to tell all about being witness to "drug binges" involving Heath and Naomi Campbell.

Rebecca said, "When I was working for Naomi I saw Heath do drugs a few times. He was new on the scene but everybody was hailing him as the new It Boy actor. We had been hanging in Naomi's bungalow at the Bel Air Hotel. Heath asked Naomi if she had any cocaine - I use to carry it around for her - and I remember giving him the packet and he went off, back and forth throughout the night."

At another event, "We went to... (a) party at this club. There was coke and a big bag of ecstasy pills. Naomi gave Heath a handful of these little blue pills and I remember him putting them all in his mouth at once and swigging a bottle of Cristal champagne."

Rebecca also claims that she purchased cocaine for Heath several times, "Each time I got an eight ball, which is four-and-a-half grams. The second time he came up all three of us spent a night doing coke in her (Campbell's) bungalow. It was quite decadent. We were there for five or six hours doing lines."

Congratulations Rebecca, you have served the world with your relevant info and profited off someone's death. I hope Naomi throws a cell phone at your fucking head!

Meanwhile, the initial autopsy report was inconclusive and the official results will take at least a week. NYPD sources have told TMZ that the drugs found in Heath's apartment were Xanax, Valium, Ativan, Lunesta and Restoril.

HOLY SHIT!

Heath Ledger was found dead today at a downtown Manhattan residence. Police said drugs may have been a factor. He was 28.

Heath's housekeeper told NYPD spokesman Paul Browne that Heath's body was found by his masseuse who arrived at the residence for an appointment at 3:26 p.m.

Wow, this was a shocker. So sad. RIP.

TMZ just reported that the apartment where Heath was found was owned by Mary-Kate Olsen. No word on whether she was there.

UPDATE 1/23 - The apartment was not Mary-Kate's. While the cleaning lady called police, the masseuse, called her friend who was an EMT. He also happened to be the Olsen's bodyguard. SOURCE

Sad news

Actor Brad Renfro died yesterday. He was only 25 years old.

Brad spent Monday night with friends in a Los Angeles apartment. Friends say they heard him snoring overnight, but he was found not breathing on Tuesday morning. After his friends called 911, paramedics pronounced him dead on arrival at 9 a.m.

A cause of death was not immediately determined, but Craig Harvey, chief investigator for the Los Angeles county coroner, said that drug overdose is a "possibility." Harvey added, "but right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night. All that we have is that he was last known to be alive during the morning hours and he was snoring."

Brad starred in movies including The Client, Apt Pupil, and Ghost World.

Evangelist Tammy Faye Messner died on Friday morning of inoperable cancer, CNN's Larry King announced on Saturday night, after her family asked him to personally make the delayed statement. She was 65. MORE

We all knew it was coming, but it's still very sad. Such a sweet woman. I loved her on the Surreal Life.

Still in shock: Chris Benoit and family dead

So last night I put on my sweats, poured a Mojito, and settled in for a 3 hour long Raw which was supposed to be a "Tribute to Mr. McMahon, " going along with the whole fake murder storyline from a couple weeks ago. There were to be touching speeches by the wrestlers, retrospective clips, and even an investigation.

How creepy that wrestling fans got exactly that, but instead of an over-the-top, scripted tribute, we got a real one, for Chris Benoit.

The bodies of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their young song Daniel were discovered by Fayette County sheriffs at their Atlanta home yesterday around 4PM. The police were asked to do a "wellness" check on Benoit after he cancelled several appointments, including an appearance at Sunday night's Vengeance Pay-Per-View where we was to win the ECW Championship, due to "family issues." He reportedly sent out "curious text messages" early Sunday morning which prompted friends to alert Richard Hering, VP of Government Relations for WWE, Inc.

The cause of the deaths were not immediately released. Last night's live Monday Night RAW event was cancelled and instead the WWE aired some of Benoit's greatest matches (including one from WCW in 1994 where Nancy, a valet character known as "Woman, " cheered him on from beside the ring) and clips of other wrestlers crying and telling of what a great, respectful, and devoted man Benoit was. They cried, fans cried, it lasted the entire three hours. The last match they showed was Chris's win of the Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 20. He celebrated in the ring with his best friend, Eddie Guerrero (who died at age 38 in 2005 of heart failure).

Then it came out that the deaths were being investigated a double murder-suicide with Benoit being the killer. HUH? This guy, that not one person ever had anything bad to say about, that was devoted to wrestling for over 20 years, and taught his kids to always be respectful and polite (he even made his son wear a suit and tie whenever his family would visit him at a show) just snapped and strangled (cause of death was not officially released, but that is what they are saying) his wife and child?? I don't get it.

There is a conflicting rumor that his wife killed the son and he killed her in a rage after discovering what she'd done and then hung himself.

It is all speculation at this point, until the police release a full report to the public (apparently the WWE has further information but was asked by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department not to release it), we can only wonder what could have caused this horrible tragedy.

In a statement by a member of the Fayetteville Sheriff's Department, "Mr, Benoit had sometime, possibly Friday, murdered his wife by asphyxiation. Sometime shortly after that, the same for his son Daniel and sometime later ... committed suicide by hanging himself in the basement area."

According to officials, Nancy was bound at the wrists and feet, with a towel wrapped around her body, and blood was found underneath her head. A Bible was also reportedly found near each one of the bodies.

Police have also confirmed that prescription drugs and steroids were found in the house.

Benoit was found hanging in a weight room in his house. Cops say that he used a cord from one of his workout machines as a makeshift noose. Authorities also believe that Benoit died on Saturday. '

I'm literally sick to my stomach. I'm also sick that I spent three hours yesterday being sad and crying over what a great guy he was. Crazy fuck! Unbelievable.

Another one - RIP

' Brad Delp, lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Boston, was found dead Friday in his New Hampshire home. He was 55. Local police said the cause of death would remain under investigation until Monday but that there was no evidence of foul play. Boston was a powerhouse in the late-1970s. They are best known for their 1976 hit song ''More Than a Feeling.'' '

I had no idea who he was either.

Richard Jeni, dead at 45

The standup comedian, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Jeni appeared in the movies The Mask and The Aristocrats, had guest spots on TV shows including Married... With Children and Everybody Hates Chris, and was a writer on the 2005 Academy Awards.
