Alice Cooper has blamed the reality show, The Osbournes, for tainting his friend Ozzy Osbourne's dark mystique and turning him into a joke.
Alice was recently quoted as saying: "Most fans thought he lived in a big, dark castle with skeletons in the cellar. When that show aired they knew he was just some guy who potters around his Beverly Hills mansion. It was meant to be some kind of comedy but the audience was laughing at Ozzy, not with him. And as a close friend, that made me very sad."
He's kind of got a point. I used to be afraid of Ozzy when I was a kid. Remember in the end of the Close My Eyes Forever video when he was all "Close your eyes....close your eyes....close your eyes for me." No Ozzy, I don't want to die!!!
But The Osbournes is to blame for much, much more than that. The Osbournes was the first celebrity reality show and I hold it accountable for every crappy celebrity or wannabe celebrity reality show that followed it: Newlyweds, The Simple Life, Gene Simmons Family Values, Growing Up Gotti, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and so on and so on and so on.
By the way, kudos for Alice for not ruining his scary image. Loved you in Wayne's World man!! Oh and that Staples commercial!! I also found this rockin' photo of Alice playing golf with Dan Quale!
You know this dude has guillotines in his cellar!
"We're gonna go crazyy!!"
Careful, the following mental image may get you really hot and bothered.
Sharon Osbourne says Ozzy is a sex maniac and keeps going and going and.........
"He's like a rabbit, he's terrible. Every song gets him in the mood for love. He's just like that battery-powered bunny. Instead of that little rabbit they should have Ozzy's willy banging a drum."
Well, he does shake alot.
Sharon doesn't stop there. She also wants everyone to know that Ozzy is hung. "My husband takes a size 14 shoe and has massive hands. He doesn't need any help in that department."
Sharon then continued on, this time praising her breast implants. "We've been married nearly 25 years. The best thing I ever did was getting my bust implants. He loves them. He is like a newborn baby."
I know what everybody's thinking. WHEN'S THE SEX TAPE?

Sharon Osbourne announced yesterday that tickets for this year's Ozzfest are going to be free.
For the first time ever the sponsors will pay for the tickets and bands will not be paid to perform. All expenses will be covered from sales of food, drinks, and merchandise.
Sharon said, "We needed to change something and we didn't want to change the format.[We] want the kids to be able to afford to come out and have an incredible experience. If we continued with the traditional touring festival model, we would have no choice but to raise ticket prices again this year.”
So how will this all work out? Hopefully better than Iron Maiden headlining did in 2005.
It's hard to imagine many bands being on board with this, although it will be a bargain for up and coming bands who were rumored to have had to PAY up to $75,000 to play the second stage on past Ozzfests while established bands (such as the sucky System of a Down) were PAID up to $325,000 a show. Bands on this year's Ozzfest's only income from the tour will be what they make by selling their merchandise at the shows (after Sharon takes her cut I'm sure). They are also allowed to play shows on their own in surrounding cities (which they were forbidden to do in the past) Still expect to see mostly bands you've never heard of. Even so, it's still worth going since ol' Ozzy himself and his water buckets are confirmed to headline all shows on the main stage. (He's used to not getting paid for his performances anyway!)
Guess we'll have to wait and see how this one plays out.
There is more info on Ozzfest's Myspace page
